Job Description

We are looking for a Data Warehouse Engineer who has experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and database administration of highly scalable data management systems.

Possesses a proven track record of successfully managing large datasets and delivering scalable data warehousing solutions.

Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.

Mechanicode is a remote-first company, and this role will be 100% remote.

W2-Salary: 100-110k

Required

  • Must be a U.S citizen or green-card holder
  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain a public trust security clearance

Essential Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • Proficient with Python
  • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data warehousing technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, or AWS Redshift.
  • Strong knowledge of database management, data modeling, and ETL processes.
  • Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from multiple sources into a centralized data warehouse.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries to extract insights and support business decisions.
  • Create reports and visualizations that make data accessible and understandable to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Develop database solutions to store and retrieve client data, ensuring system scalability, security, performance, and reliability.
  • Experience working with cloud providers like AWS or Azure.
  • Expert in basic git actions like cloning, creating branches, navigating between branches, staging code for commit, committing code, resetting, and merging.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
