About The Role:

As a Data Intelligence Associate at VentureWell, you will play a key role in data collection and outcomes tracking to help mission-inspired leaders visualize the impact of their programs on entrepreneurship and innovation in science and technology. We are looking for a colleague who finds joy in being detail-oriented and developing data products that are useful and accurate.

To be successful in this role you must enjoy working with data sets, collaborating with colleagues on projects, and solving data-related issues. This role is an integral part of a fast-paced team that delivers several data products for ongoing program implementation and refinement. Our new Data Intelligence Associate will report to our Director of Data Intelligence, Insights (Ventures and Commercialization).

Responsibilities:

Program Data Support (60% of time)

  • Follow and implement data cleaning and updating protocols
  • Monitor and review data for integrity across various systems
  • Prepare data for analysis
  • Input information into databases and systems to maintain records
  • Verify information with external sources; ensure data accuracy/quality control
  • Resolve issues that occur routinely in the process of multiple-year data collections (i.e., the "real world" problems related to data collection)
  • Assist in developing data visualizations for reporting
  • Support configuration of forms and tools for data collection

Program Data Management (40% of time)

  • Participate in stakeholder and team meetings
  • Participate in routine project platform maintenance activities
  • Produce documentation about processes, data collection methods, and other decision points as needed

What You Bring:

  • Relevant experience with data management and use
  • High degree of digital fluency using cloud-based office tools such as GSuite, CRMs, team collaboration/communication tools, and other web-based applications; ability to incorporate these tools into day-to-day work
  • Experience manipulating data in R (e.g., coding data, analyzing data, creating tables)
  • Knowledge of basic statistics (descriptive)
  • Experience developing forms and online survey tools
  • Salesforce and third-party application systems integration experience a plus
  • Dynamic learner who adopts new tools and work processes quickly and solves problems creatively and autonomously

    • a salary range of $65-80K commensurate with experience and internal equity
    • 403 (b) with 200% match up to a maximum contribution from VentureWell of 10% when the employee puts it 5% (eligible after one year of service for the match)
