Job Summary
The function sits at a critical juncture in the supply chain and impacts both the bottom-line and the top-line of the business. It involves running a warehouse in line with operational best practices and constraints put on by business and resources. It also involves strategic, tactical and operational collaboration with stakeholders within and outside the organization to ensure revenue maximization and loss minimization for optimum business health.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize and manage warehouse operations in a manner that improves warehouse service metrics in the most cost efficient way possible
- Assess operational workflows and assign metrics/KPIs to track operational health and business objective achievement through them
- Formulate reporting structures for convenient visibility on metrics/KPIs for prompt visibility of the team, relevant stakeholders and management.
- Conduct cross-functional root-causing sessions for recurring issues in operational and commercial domains while implementing corrective measures to prevent issue occurrence.
- Establish accurate and prompt visibility on inventory movements throughout the value chain
- Enable deployment, acceptance and usage of WMS software in collaboration with all stakeholders
- Optimize team structure, reporting lines and organizational processes in order to facilitate clear communication, increased collaboration and continuous improvement in the organization
- Evaluate category trends and obtain actionable insights for increasing customer satisfaction and reducing return rate
- Pilot, assess and implement new sales streams that allow for revenue maximization, loss minimization and better working capital utilization
- Establish innovative approaches to assist in liquidation of unsellable inventory on highest possible recovery rate
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience with emphasis on supply chain, e-commerce businesses, FMCG goods, Amazon.
