    • Translate trend, fabric, and cultural insights into on-brand, commercially successful designs.

    • Concept and design across fleece, athleisure, and seasonal drops with an elevated yet wearable aesthetic.

    • Own vendor communication for all design-related matters, ensuring clarity on product intent, materials, and execution.

    • Collaborate closely with product development, sourcing, and marketing to move from idea to launch—fast.

    • Oversee the entire design process, from initial concept to final product development, including fit and garment construction.

    • Create tech packs with detailed specs, construction methods, and BOMs for production accuracy.

    • Develop seasonal color palettes and apply them strategically across categories.

    • Create graphics and patterns that align with Comfrt's brand identity and seasonal stories.

    • Create and manage seasonal visual line plans to guide product flow, merchandising strategy, and assortment balance.

    • Understand and work within garment cost targets while maintaining design integrity.

    • Track and align designs with production timelines, ensuring on-time delivery.

    • Participate in fittings and ensure accurate product fit that meets Comfrt's standards.

    • Maintain Comfrt's design DNA while pushing boundaries and innovating for the future.

    Qualifications & Skills

    Qualifications:

    • 7+ years in apparel design with a portfolio showing exceptional taste and commercial success.

    • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and ideally 3D design tools.

    • Highly knowledgeable in textiles, garment construction, fit, and performance fabrics.

    • Experienced in vendor communication and navigating production realities.

    • Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and solutions-focused with a positive, can-do attitude.

    • Strong understanding of garment costing and timelines.

    • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, able to pivot quickly and work long hours when launches demand it.

    • West coast time zone preferred.

    Skills:

    • Creative and Artistic Ability: A strong eye for design, color, and detail.

    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in sketching, pattern making, draping, and garment construction.

    • Computer-Aided Design (CAD): Knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD/CAM systems.

    • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively communicate design ideas and collaborate with others.

    • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot design challenges and find creative solutions.

    • Business Acumen: Understanding of the fashion industry, market trends, and business operations.

    • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
