THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join ActBlue and help us support the growth of our platform.
Our engineering and product organization is made up of 110+ people (and growing!), and we are organized into cross-functional teams of 3-6 people with clear areas of product focus. On the application side, we work with Ruby on Rails, Postgres, React, Typescript, GraphQL, etc., relying on AWS for cloud infrastructure with compute resources in EKS and utilizing CI/CD tools such as Datadog and CircleCI to help facilitate our DevOps culture.
In this role, you will be joining one of our platform engineering teams. The team you would join focuses on high-impact improvements that enable quicker feedback on the software development lifecycle for developers, using state-of-the-art tools.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Work cross-functionally with product teams to improve experience within all phases of the software delivery lifecycle.
- Build tooling to make the development and deployment process as seamless as possible for product teams.
- Implement enterprise-level monitoring and observability.
- Practice and encourage a people-focused engineering mentality when working cross-functionally.
- Engage and contribute to technical discussions around new solutions and architecture.
- Receive support from your manager and other senior leaders to grow as an individual and increase your impact within ActBlue and for the progressive movement.
- Be a champion for building a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- 2-5 years or equivalent of professional experience working with teams and delivering projects.
- Experience contributing to the execution of small to medium-sized clearly-scoped projects involving a few engineers.
- Experience in CI/CD best practices, as well as experience growing Monitoring and Observability practices in technical organizations.
- A track record of effective collaboration with other engineers to improve processes that make it easy to build reliable software
- Eagerness to explore and eliminate tech debt
- A team player mentality. You keep the end user in mind and enjoy hearing feedback from your teammates, yet know when and how to defend your own ideas in a respectful manner.

LOCATION AND COMPENSATION:
This posting is for a full-time, remote, salaried position. ActBlue is currently authorized to support remote work employees in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Washington D.C., and Wisconsin.
Salary Range Details:
Salary Range: $136,611-$151,437
ActBlue is committed to consistent compensation practices across our organization. Final salary offers will take into account factors such as candidate experience, interview performance and current team salary parity.
