Tasks
A DevOps professional typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
- Creating documentation for infrastructure design, deployment procedures, disaster recovery plans, and other aspects of the projects.
- Working with development teams to create and maintain environments where they can rapidly iterate through code changes.
- Providing recommendations on how to improve the current processes and/or develop new ones.
- Identifying security threats and creating solutions to mitigate them.
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our applications that support the processes of the company using best practices for reliability, scalability, and security.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes across multiple environments and typologies.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring of containerized applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline development workflows and improve release cycles and help implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the health and performance of our systems and troubleshoot issues when they arise.
- Lead efforts to optimize Elasticsearch infrastructure, including index management and query optimization.
- Mentor and support Junior DevOps team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster their growth and development.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in DevOps, cloud computing, and automations
Requirements
A proven track record of designing and implementing complex infrastructure solutions.
o Strong expertise in cloud platforms, Azure is preferable, others are a plus.
o Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
o Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
o In-depth knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Splunk.
o Experience with Elasticsearch index management and troubleshooting.
o Experience managing Kafka message broker systems, including configuration, optimization, and monitoring.
o Experience scripting and programming skills, with proficiency in languages such as Python, Groovy, Shell, Java or .Net.
o Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in a production environment.
o Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross- functional team environment.
o Troubleshoot issues with developers and provide guidance on infrastructure-related matters.
o Implementing High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions aligned with the design
to ensure Business Data Integrity and Business Continuity.
o Experience implementing monitoring and logging solutions to enhance observability and troubleshoot issues proactively.
o Strong experience in performance tuning of applications on Containerized Environment to optimize resource utilization and improve overall system performance.
o Demonstrated ability to integrate a security-first approach into all aspects of DevOps processes design and implementation.
o Fluent in English any other language (Portuguese) is a plus
