ACWS is built on the Appian Platform. This position will enable secure, repeatable delivery by designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning, integrating security controls, and supporting scalable cloud and containerized environments.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity disciplines and can translate evolving requirements into clean, scalable, secure technical implementations while supporting an Agile delivery environment.

LMI is a new breed of digital solutions provider dedicated to accelerating government impact with innovation and speed. Investing in technology and prototypes ahead of need, LMI brings commercial-grade platforms and mission-ready AI to federal agencies at commercial speed.

Leveraging our mission-ready technology and solutions, proven expertise in federal deployment, and strategic relationships, we enhance outcomes for the government, efficiently and effectively. With a focus on agility and collaboration, LMI serves the defense, space, healthcare, and energy sectors—helping agencies navigate complexity and outpace change. Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.

    Responsibilities

    • Design, build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines supporting ACWS application and infrastructure delivery.

    • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and automation tools such as Ansible.

    • Architect and deploy AWS resources and cloud services that support secure application hosting, integration, monitoring, and operations.

    • Build and deploy secure containerized services using platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes.

    • Integrate security scanning, vulnerability detection, automated testing, and security gates into CI/CD pipelines.

    • Build and maintain secure container images and enforce secure configuration standards throughout development and deployment.

    • Administer and monitor containerization platforms, including maintenance, hardening, patching, storage, and service health activities.

    • Support secure deployment and operational integration of Appian-based application services within approved cloud environments.

    • Troubleshoot pipeline, deployment, infrastructure, integration, and environment issues and drive problems to resolution.

    • Collaborate with application developers, Appian specialists, information assurance personnel, database administrators, and system architects to align delivery with program objectives.

    • Enforce applicable DoD cybersecurity controls, including RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and STIG requirements, throughout build and deployment activities.

    • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including pipeline diagrams, playbooks, system configuration records, and operational procedures.

    • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of development, deployment, and operational practices.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

    • 6+ years of experience supporting DevOps, DevSecOps, cloud engineering, systems automation, or related enterprise technology roles.

    • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.

    • Experience deploying and operating AWS or comparable cloud solutions.

    • Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.

    • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and configuration automation.

    • Familiarity with security automation, vulnerability scanning, and integrating security controls into software delivery pipelines.

    • Experience working in Agile software development or enterprise operations environments.

    • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.

    • U.S. citizenship required.

    Desired Skills

    • Experience with the Appian Platform, including Appian Cloud or Appian GovCloud environments, preferred.

    • Terraform or Ansible experience or certification.

    • CompTIA Security+, Linux+, or comparable cybersecurity/Linux certification.

    • AWS certification such as Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or Security.

    • Experience with Git-based development workflows, Tekton, GitLab CI, or comparable CI/CD tooling.

    • Experience with BASH, Python, or Java scripting/programming.

    • Experience applying NIST SP 800-53, RMF, or STIG requirements to cloud and DevSecOps environments.

    • SAFe or Agile DevOps certification and experience supporting PI Planning or similar delivery events.
