What you'll be doing...
As the Digital Producer for Kiplinger, you will focus on our email newsletter and social media platforms. You will assist with production work on these and other platforms, as needed, including creating and scheduling social posts and navigating the newsletter platform to get issues out on time. You will report to the Audience Engagement Manager of Kiplinger.
This is an ideal role for someone interested in working in audience and across a wide range of content formats in publishing media. While this is not an editorial role, the candidate may have opportunities to write articles for the website if interested. Digital copywriting and proofreading skills are a plus to help with social posts and newsletters.
Key responsibilities:
- Template/build and schedule email newsletters
- Create and maintain email and social calendars
- Build, schedule and publish social media posts
- Use graphics templates and tools to create assets for social, newsletters and website banners,
- Keep track of reporting information for newsletters and social media
- Write and build newsletter issues as needed eventually taking over full responsibility
- Deputise when other newsletter/social staffers are on PTO
- Assist with other workflow processes as needed, such as templating articles into the CMS and updating the homepage and content carousels
Expereince that will put you ahead of the curve...
- At least 1-2 years professional experience
- Enthusiasm for personal finance, including retirement, taxes, investing and more, and awareness of news around finance and the economy
- Knowledge of the Kiplinger brand
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfort with learning new digital systems and processes
- Good attitude for teamwork in the remote working world
- Newsletter and/or social media experience including content/image editing and analytics tools.
- Excellent written English, with an eye for style
- Works well in a fast-paced environment
