About The Role

We're seeking a Director of Business Development to lead our Business Development team as we work to 5x revenue over the next 12 months. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales leadership, market expansion, and partnership development. In this role, you'll be tasked with steering Ernest through a period of exponential growth, optimizing our Business Development team's operations to improve conversion rates significantly. Your leadership will be instrumental in not just navigating but thriving within one of the largest global markets, setting a new benchmark in how we scale business initiatives and forge customer relationships to cement our stance in the industry.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and scale the Business Development team, setting ambitious growth targets and strategies to achieve them.

  • Take full ownership of the sales cycle, from the initial hunt to sealing the deal, embodying our commitment to redefining industry standards through a blend of innovation, relationship-building, and unmatched professionalism.

  • Develop in-depth market analysis to identify new business opportunities and expansion areas.

  • Forge strategic partnerships and relationships to enhance our market presence and service offerings.

  • Oversee the management of the entire sales pipeline from prospecting to close, ensuring consistency with our growth targets.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business development strategies with company goals.

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in venture backed startups, with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and motivating a team to achieve excellent results.

  • Deep understanding of market research, sales strategy, and negotiation techniques.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency implementing and utilizing CRM software, with an ability to analyze sales data and trends to inform decisions.

  • Willingness to work on a collaborative team in a fast-paced, startup environment
