Role Summary
The Director, Compensation & Benefits – Americas is a key leader within NIQ’s global Compensation & Benefits (C&B) function, responsible for leading strategy, design, and execution of C&B initiatives across the Americas region.
This role partners closely with HRBPs, regional leadership, and global teams to ensure competitive, compliant, and scalable rewards programs that support business objectives. In addition to regional leadership, this role also leads global initiatives and serves as a subject matter expert across complex compensation topics, including executive and sales compensation within a publicly traded company environment.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Lead, develop, and coach the regional Compensation & Benefits team
Oversee team deliverables, performance management, and goal setting processes Strategy, Plan Design & Administration
Design, benchmark, and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs across the Americas
Partner with SVP, Compensation & Benefits on regional strategy and annual plan renewals
Ensure programs align with both global standards and local market requirements Compensation Programs
Lead regional execution of corporate compensation programs
Oversee job leveling recommendations aligned to global job architecture
Guide compensation adjustments based on benchmarking and market trends
Support annual salary reviews and incentive plan cycles Data Analysis & Insights
Translate compensation and benefits data into actionable insights
Identify root causes, trends, and systemic issues impacting business outcomes
Deliver clear recommendations backed by data and market intelligence Process Improvement & Standardization
Partner with global C&B teams to balance global consistency with local customization
Identify opportunities for automation and process efficiency
Drive continuous improvement initiatives Project Leadership
Own end-to-end delivery of global C&B projects
Define scope, manage timelines, align stakeholders, and drive execution
Proactively identify risks and dependencies Special Projects
Lead key initiatives such as sales incentive plans and executive compensation programs
Serve as a strategic partner to commercial leadership and senior stakeholders Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, Payroll, and regional leadership teams
Develop and deliver clear, compelling presentations tailored to regional audiences
Support change management efforts for C&B initiatives Vendor Management & Compliance
Manage external vendors, consultants, and benefit providers
Ensure compliance with regional and country-specific regulations across the Americas
Oversee required reporting and governance practices Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
10+ years of experience leading compensation and benefits programs in a global corporate environment
Experience working within publicly traded companies
3+ years of leadership experience managing teams and partnering with senior business leaders
Strong understanding of international and regional labor laws across the Americas
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency strongly preferred
Experience with HR systems, preferably Workday Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic insights
Proven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders
Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global, and matrixed environment
Strong focus on improving employee and business experience through C&B programs Preferred Experience
Experience with executive and sales compensation design and administration
Strong background managing complex, multi-country compensation strategies
Experience driving transformation and scaling global programs Additional Information
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $132,000.00 - $200,000.00. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
