About the RoleLyra is looking for a Director, HR Business Partner to provide thought leadership and drive talent strategy as the lead HR partner to our Chief Revenue Officer, General Counsel and their teams. You will own and execute important strategic initiatives such as organizational design, organizational development, performance management, career development, retention and engagement. You will collaborate with leaders to understand business objectives and use data to inform the design and execution of solutions that live our values and propel Lyra forward! You will play a key role in both shaping and stewarding company-wide people initiatives. You will report to the Head of Talent Development and manage a HRBP.
You bring a track record of high impact partnership with C-Suite leaders, experience managing teams and expertise across core Human Resources functions including talent planning, leadership development, and compensation.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with executives and their leadership teams to set their people strategy and align priorities to the business goals and Lyra’s core values
- Understand the business and leverage data to recommend and drive new approaches, structures and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and employee engagement
- Facilitate effective coaching and leadership development in both 1:1 and group settings to drive inclusive and high performing teams at scale
- Lead cross-functional project teams , propose solutions to address this/them, and then lead a cross-functional team to drive to these strategic solutions, partnering with centers of excellence across the People Team
- Play a key role driving one or more areas of company wide talent and culture initiative
- Build deep trust and exercise exquisite judgment handling sensitive information and providing high-stakes counsel to leaders
- Solve problems and get to the root cause of any issue. Design and quickly implement solutions that cut across multiple disciplines
- Provide expertise in the following areas: career planning, performance management, coaching, data analysis, compensation and rewards, employee relations, learning and development, recognition programs, and strategic development
- Partner with HR colleagues to roll out programs to support employees, including compensation and leadership development
- Utilize data strategically: Identify trends in both qualitative and quantitative data to help improve organizational health, understand when data will assist in making informed decisions, and interpret complex analyses and tie analyses back to business priorities
Qualifications
- 10+ years of related HR experience providing strategic partnership to leaders, including C-Suite members and their leadership teams
- Experience working with large-scale sales teams preferred
- Track record of advancing organizational strategy by facilitating strong talent practices aligned with business strategies
- Ability to influence others, including senior leadership, to achieve outcomes in high stakes situations
- Demonstrated empathy, inclusiveness, willingness to learn, collaboration and discernment
- Experience working at public company and/or start-up preferred
- Knowledge and experience with Employment law
- Able to make sound decisions in complex situations, and know when to ask for help and escalate issues
- Ability to execute firm-wide talent initiatives with excellence in a fast-paced, global environment; dedication to innovation and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing direct reports/teams required
- Experience working with variable compensation programs strongly preferred
- Ability to use HR reporting and analytics to generate insights, communicate findings back to the business, and track and disseminate essential HR data, including familiarity with Workday is a plus
