About the opportunity

Join our Education Vertical as Director of Training and Implementationto make a real impact every day. We say that because we know that every conversation we have, every code line we write and every interface we design is another opportunity for us to enrich our customers’ experiences.

The Implementation and Training teams drive our company’s growth by nurturing new and migrating customers at the outset of their Xplor Education journey, laying the foundation for upsell/ cross-sell of additional products and long-term satisfaction and retention.

Reporting into Chief Operation Officer of Education & Personal Services, you will help us lead the team responsible for onboarding, offboarding, training, and adoption of the Education products. You will monitor, manage, and provide guidance, ensuring that all tasks meet the internal and customer’s expectations of quality and timeliness. Some of the other responsibilities include:

  • Collaborates with relevant business partners to develop and maintain the processes and activities needed to integrate our product with needed solutions
  • Manages and leads the training team to ensure that revenue targets are met, and training is a larger part of the commercial motion
  • Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets
  • Manages the offboarding group to develop processes and tools focused on ensuring accuracy of when billing should cease
  • Ensures that billing is in alignment with onboarding and offboarding. Needs to be able to interpret contracts for accuracy
  • Coordinate with team to review external customer’s product demands, develop project plans and ensures that implementations are completed on time and meet client expectations
  • Collaborate with Commerical team to ensure team members have appropriate documentation, training, software, and other tools needed to effectively and efficiently respond to customers and retain information needed for internal use
  • Work with senior management to provide activity reports and metrics around project and department performance.
  • Up to 25% travel required, plus flexibility to attend virtual meetings outside of standard work hours to connect with US and UK colleagues

Location: For this position, preference will be given to Melbourne based candidates who can be on-site occasionally as that's where the majority of the team is based. Otherwise you can work 100% remotely from anywhere is Australia or New Zealand.

Required qualifications for this role:

  • Experience at a growing SaaS company with revenues > $20m
  • Several years experience leading and growing an implementation and training organization
  • History of building process-driven teams with a mix of existing and new talent
  • Experience in creating KPIs, building reports, forecasting, and performance management
  • Passionate about having fun, developing talent, motivating teams and building a world-class implementation and training organization.
  • Financial Astuteness - Demonstrates broad understanding of financial management principles to direct organizational actions, identifies cost effective approaches. Fosters an environment that encourages fiscal responsibility and works towards achieving EBITDA and net revenue targets.
  • Business Acumen - Recognizes current and future resource needs based on organizational goals, priorities, competing resource needs across initiatives, and budget realities. Identifies potential risks and develops, plans, and implements measures to avoid, mitigate or minimize risk.
  • Acting with Empathy and Compassion - Affirms the value of a culture where people feel safe to share their thoughts and emotions, especially in challenging times.
  • Proven experience Establishing organizational systems for defining responsibilities and tracking, monitoring, and measuring success.
  • Comfortable with generating support through organizational changes and adjusting ineffective strategies
