The Opportunity - Director, Insurance Agency (Remote - USA)

Wrapbook is hiring a Director, Insurance Agency, responsible for strategically scaling our growing insurance agency. In this role, you will create and execute a short and long term strategy for driving growth. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing the existing production insurance team while setting a vision and a strategy for Insurance. This includes owning the financial results as well as supporting the creation of the execution roadmaps across go-to-market, client success, operations and product in order to hit those financial goals. You will lead a team of Brokers and Customer Service Representatives focused on driving growth.

What you'll do:

  • Develop a strategy and associated business case for investment for delivering significant production insurance revenue

  • Consult and partner with cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Legal, Marketing and sales to get buy-in and support for the strategy

  • Once approved, execute on the strategy by partnering externally and internally. You will act as the Driver to ensure the strategy is executed

  • Partner with finance to define the TAM and a prioritized segments based on current functionality and future capabilities. Launch a commission plan that drives the intended behavior to achieve sales targets

  • Build a team that is a trusted authority in Production Insurance

  • Define and track key metrics for the Insurance business and align them to business goals while contributing to the broader set of metrics governing the entire business

  • Own the delivering on the P&L expectations for Production Insurance

  • Optimize the current production insurance team by driving operational improvements including driving funnel efficiency, improving close rates, removing blockers and coaching team members

  • Develop a robust cross-sell program to existing payroll customers to significantly improve existing and prospective payroll customer cross-sell

  • Champion our Insurance strategy internally and externally

What you'll have:

  • 2-3 years of direct management experience

  • A P&C License

  • Experience building a technology-forward agency or insurance product

  • Experience building carrier relationships

  • Excellent project management skills including goal setting, working cross-functionally and driving execution

  • Experience working with Product Managers and Engineers at a tech startup

  • Executive presence including influencing, driving consensus and presentation skills.

  • Sense of ownership and comfort with ambiguity—we are building something new which is an opportunity to contribute but also means we don't have all the answers yet!
