We are currently seeking a Director of Engineering to join our Web Applications Team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering, Web Applications, you will be responsible for the planning, delivery, mentoring, and coaching of multiple full-stack engineering teams. In this role, you will work closely with the product team and help with cross-team priorities and management.

You Will:

  • Lead multiple engineering teams (total of 3 scrum teams) to ensure timely and successful product delivery
  • Establish and implement best practices for delivering web applications throughout the SDLC
  • Quickly learn, employ, and develop cutting-edge GenAI solutions to deliver best-in-class offerings and user experience
  • Monitor the latest tech trends with GenAI, web app architecture, and cloud computing, lead the team to quickly and properly assess and identify viable technologies for adoption
  • Be the engineering leader in our initiatives and lead the development efforts internally and with our teams
  • Help improve the processes and patterns of interfacing with multiple stakeholders and engineering teams
  • Own and drive execution of the technical roadmap for your teams and be accountable for the overall delivery of new features and products -- ensuring the quality of code and committing to the timelines
  • Work with the product owner to gather and refine requirements, and see development through to QA, deployment and ongoing maintenance
  • You will help prioritize work for your teams, making difficult tradeoff decisions based on business constraints, ensuring on-time deliverables and high-quality software
  • Build and grow high-performing teams and foster a great culture, manage the performance evaluation, feedback, coaching, growth, and development of leaders and engineers on your teams
  • Take a leadership role in our recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience working as a software developer and 2+ years of experience in a senior manager or director-level role
  • Strong foundation in core software engineering principles, agile practices, and SDLC methodologies
  • Solid experience building web applications and optimizing the development, QA, and deploy/release processes
  • Experience with modern cloud-based web application architecture, data architecture, and GenAI solutions
  • Experience with API design, microservices, backend, and client integration solutions
  • Strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with CI/CD, securing and scaling web applications
  • Experience building SaaS applications is nice to have
