Compensation: $135-160K Salary
What the Director of Operations, Last Mile Maintenance role looks like:
- Fleet Maintenance Strategies: Develop and implement fleet maintenance strategies and policies to ensure the smooth operation of the company’s Last Mile Fleet Maintenance division.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Oversee the maintenance and repair of customer’s last mile vehicles to ensure fleet readiness and minimize downtime.
- Team Leadership & Development: Manage and lead a team of fleet managers, technicians, and administrative staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on business objectives.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyzes fleet maintenance data to improve efficiency and productivity. Generates reports on key performance indicators.
- Vendor & Supplier Management: Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors. Monitors vendor performance to ensure service level agreements are met.
- Alignment with Business Objectives: Coordinate with various departments within the organization to ensure fleet maintenance operations align with business objectives and requirements. Identify and implement improvement objectives that align with our organization’s long-term strategy.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with industry advancements, technological developments, and regulatory changes related to fleet management. Provide guidance to frame appropriate business challenges, identifying key business opportunities using data and industry knowledge and trends.
What our ideal candidate looks like:
- Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in Fleet Management/Maintenance Operations with a demonstrated track record of progressive leadership responsibilities and continuous improvement.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role within the fleet maintenance industry
- In-depth knowledge of Last/Final Mile Fleet Maintenance and Repair.
- Ability to develop and implement operational strategies that align with business goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Must be proficient in MS Excel, MS Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and Zoom, and have experience with fleet maintenance systems.
- Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced team environment.
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
Environment:
- Standard office setting.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
- Must be able to sit for up to 4 hours at a time.
