What you’ll be doing?

We are looking for a strategic Director of Sales and Account Management for our airline travel solutions in Australia and New Zealand region. You will report to our regional vice president and will lead a team to drive pipeline growth and business development activities with airline accounts for the Sabre Travel Solution. This leadership role is critical in driving our growth strategy and ensuring the success of our airline customers. The ideal candidate will possess a enterprise technology sales experience, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing high-performing teams.

You will be interacting with C-level stakeholders and be able to strike a balance between client expectations and Sabre Travel Solutions’ strategic objectives. You are will being taking ownership of your team’s activities around accounts and is expected to be well versed in all commercial terms, maintenance and support needs, project delivery activities, timelines, and project scope.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth within the airline sector.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our airline customer base.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategies.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key airline customers.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
  • Develop and execute account plans to maximize customer retention and growth within the airline industry.

Financial and Operational Management:

  • Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Market Analysis and Feedback:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs within the airline industry.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams to influence product development and marketing strategies.
  • Represent Sabre at industry events and conferences.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing teams within the airline or enterprise technology industries.
  • Proven track record of selling enterprise technology with complex sales cycle.
  • Strong understanding of the airline market and customer needs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive execution.

  • Exposure to digital transformation, CRM/CX solutions or services.
  • Residing in Brisbane Australia.
