About the Role
The Director of Sales will be a driving force behind the success of The Pack Labs’ sales operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role focuses on leading, developing, and scaling a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed revenue goals. With a proven track record of building and managing exceptional teams in physical product sales, you will ensure operational excellence and consistent growth across all channels.
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced, results-driven environments. You will oversee the recruitment, development, and performance of the sales team while implementing effective systems and processes to support the company’s rapid growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales leadership, a passion for team-building, and an in-depth understanding of the unique challenges of scaling CPG brands.
This is a remote role with travel to Los Angeles, CA, and key markets as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan that aligns with The Pack Labs’ growth objectives, balancing immediate priorities with long-term scalability.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and Head of Sales Operations to define clear sales goals and create actionable plans to meet them.
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing sales team, focusing on recruiting top talent, providing ongoing training, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities, including market expansions, new territory rollouts, and partnerships with key distributors and retailers.
- Establish sales processes, tools, and performance metrics to drive efficiency and ensure the team’s success as the company scales.
- Foster strong relationships with distribution partners and key stakeholders to drive growth and ensure smooth collaboration.
- Monitor sales performance using data and analytics, adjusting strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Represent The Pack Labs at trade shows, client meetings, and industry events to strengthen partnerships and expand the company’s footprint.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in sales leadership, including building and managing high-performing teams.
- A proven track record of driving revenue growth and scaling sales operations in a fast-growing company.
- Experience in industries like alcohol, hemp, vape, tobacco, or cannabis is a strong advantage.
- Expertise in developing and implementing sales strategies that deliver measurable results.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and develop talent.
- Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to monitoring and optimizing sales performance.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams.
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset, capable of balancing strategy and execution.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive base salary: $120,000 - $150,000, with an OTE (on-target earnings) of $220,000 - $250,000.
