Overview

This position requires a leader who is able to provide innovative parking and mobility solutions that support each of our venues. The goal of the position is to use methodologies and industry best practices to evaluate each venue’s unique parking process to help identify opportunities for optimizing the guest experience and operations, generate revenue for our venues, reduce environmental impact, and support the surrounding community. Most importantly this role requires the passion and experience to support parking and mobility operations according to Oak View Groups guiding principle of being a positive disruption to business as usual in the sports and live entertainment industry.

This role will pay a salary of $120,000 to $140,000.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct discovery sessions with venue leadership and key stakeholders to determine scope of work, deliverables, and schedules.
  • Conduct a thorough review and analysis of a venues entire parking system including, but not limited to, its rate structures, utilization data, development plans, operational practices and strategies, use of technologies, and signage and wayfinding.
  • Recommend and implement performance improvement solutions related to operational execution, labor optimization, technology utilization, financial health and risk management.
  • Evaluate, improve, and develop marketing strategies to drive on-line event parking sales .
  • Design, develop and implement short and long-term business plans that generate new revenue opportunities and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
  • Identify opportunities for a venues parking and mobility program to positively impact the guest journey and experience.
  • Identify potential risks and rewards associated with each parking area and recommend growth for new or underdeveloped areas.
  • Coach and mentor parking staff to create a cohesive team focused on providing best in class guest experience, maximize profit, continuously innovate, and manage efficient parking operations.
  • Provide best management practices and recommendations relative to electric vehicle charging stations.
  • Evaluate any existing service agreements and management practices of the venues current parking and mobility programs and provide best-practice recommendations for enhancement.
  • Support venue finance and accounting departments with budget preparation, reforecasting, capital budgeting and monthly reporting.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts to ensure compliance with all venue requirements and that services are provided to desired standards.

  • Act as a leader and key stakeholder in OVG Parking and Mobility.
  • Work with VP of OVG Parking and Mobility to develop a strategic plan to drive value for OVG venues.
  • Help oversee and drive efforts at OVG venues by joining calls, assisting with strategic planning, and acting as a resource for parking and mobility activities.
  • Create and effectively maintain reporting documents in an organized manner.
  • Monitor relevant market and industry developments in the entertainment/sport industry.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of all OVG properties, initiatives and be able to successfully identify and activate cross-selling opportunities.
  • Take leadership in the creation of OVG Parking and Mobility materials.
  • Minimum 30% travel expected.
  • Performs all other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required or 8+ years of professional parking.
  • Sports, Entertainment and/or Arena Industry experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • At least 5-7 years’ experience in a management position with supervisory and decision-making
  • Must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an expert ability to present and communicate innovative ideas and concepts.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented, resourceful, quick learner and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional experience in leading, motivating and developing employees.
  • A high degree of personal integrity and consistently put the interests of the organization first.
  • Must be a fierce communicator and cross-organizational collaborator.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of budget preparation and control.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
