We are seeking a highly skilled and financially savvy individual to join our team as the Director of Portfolio Operations. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial operations within our portfolio, ensuring efficient allocation of resources, accurate budgeting, and optimization of operational expenses. As the financial steward of our operations, you will play a critical role in driving financial performance and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with finance teams to develop and manage capital expenditure budgets for portfolio operations.
  • Monitor energy bills and compare usage to invoices for accuracy, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee SG&A (Selling, General, and Administrative) expenses, ensuring alignment with budgetary targets.
  • Analyze maintenance contracts and service agreements to optimize costs while maintaining service quality.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce expenses.
  • Utilize financial tools such as NetSuite and spreadsheets to analyze operational data and generate actionable insights.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for executive leadership, providing strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all operational matters related to financial performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operational processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop long-term financial strategies and objectives for portfolio operations.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business planning initiatives.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and potential growth areas, assessing their financial viability and impact on overall portfolio performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial management and operations, with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, and expense management.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial analysis, including variance analysis, financial modeling, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Experience working with financial software and tools, such as NetSuite, Excel, and other spreadsheet applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Prior experience in the technology industry or cloud computing space is a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $175,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $250,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
