As a Director, Product Management for our Core Platform team, you will lead a team of Product Managers to set a vision and strategy, manage a multi-product roadmap, prioritize allocation of development resources, and deliver impactful features to customers across areas like issuing, fulfillment, ledger, identity platform, and digital wallet. Your passion and attention to detail will help identify and drive new capabilities to give more flexibility to our customers, while maintaining a platform with significant breadth and scale.

The Impact You'll Have
Create and manage strategies, roadmaps, project plans, and specifications for Core product which handles $200B+ in annual TPV for the largest fintech providers
- Lead and inspire others with a compelling product vision and roadmap, driving alignment and seeking consensus among leadership, peers, and teams
- Deeply understand Marqeta’s issuing and processing capabilities and customer use cases to identify impact of initiatives or features across the platform
- Directly engage in major projects, issues, and initiatives with product and engineering teams to determine approach, assess capacity, and brainstorm solutions
- Be an expert on trends in everything from prepaid, debit, credit card payments, processing rules and emerging payments options
- Understand card network enhancements, translating specifications and bulletins into customer context to ideate on features and functionality
- Collaborate across customer-facing and technical teams to collect inputs for prioritization of features, including value, effort, usability, and priority
- Translate operational and technical requirements into business outcomes, focusing on customer and business value and defining metrics to quantify success
- Deliver customer value iteratively, managing products through various launch phases and follow-on releases
- Act as technical advisor to educate and evangelize feature(s) with customers via meetings, presentations, and other forums
- Collaborate with go-to-market partners to develop product collateral, presentations, trainings, and other tools to bring products to customers and prospects
Who You Are
- 10+ years in product management roles designing and delivering payment solutions that have delighted customers and driven business growth
- Proven track record of setting vision and strategy for a portfolio of products and translating it into a roadmap with rigorous end-to-end execution
- Experience recruiting and growing top talent and building high performing teams, with strong EQ and leadership skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems for technical and business audiences
- Deep understanding of payment industry ecosystem: card brand regulations, ISO 8583, EMV, digital wallets, gateway services, and security services
- Proficient in identifying key metrics, analyzing data, and balancing quantitative and qualitative information to make decisions
- Excellent technical acumen, curiosity, and familiarity with new technologies, API’s, programming languages, and databases
- “Roll up your sleeves” mentality to make your products and team successful, seeking root causes, assigning ownership, and driving accountability to get things done

Marqeta is a Flex First company which allows you to choose your best working environment, whether that be from home or at a company office. To support Flex First, we calibrate pay to a competitive value according to working location. Compensation is aligned according to three tiers within the United States:
- National: A baseline tier that applies to most of the geographic territory of the United States.
- Premium: Slightly elevated from the National tier, and oriented toward a narrower set of higher cost-of-living areas, such as Los Angeles CA and Seattle WA
- Premium Plus: A tier for the most expensive working areas, like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City.

When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire base salary range for this position is:
- National: $168,675 - $224,900
- Premium: $189,750 - $253,000
- Premium Plus: $210,825 - $281,100
