At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale.

Working at Samsara means you’ll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that’s shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, Equipment Monitoring, and Site Visibility. As part of a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term.

About the role:

Samsara’s mission is to increase the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of the operations that power the global economy. In under 10 years, we’ve grown from 0 to over $1B ARR by staying deeply attuned to customer needs and fostering a culture of internal innovation. With a $60B+ total addressable market spanning industries like manufacturing, logistics, and construction, our potential for growth is immense—and our Product Marketing team is at the heart of it.

As the driving force behind bringing new products from concept to launch and expanding the impact of our established products, the Product Marketing team is essential to Samsara’s growth trajectory. As a Director of Product Marketing, you will lead a team and collaborate closely with partner functions (Product and Sales) to drive our product marketing strategy, launch and manage multiple product and feature releases each year, refresh and develop core messaging, be a customer facing voice of R&D, and influence the product roadmap to ensure our solutions meet real-world needs. Your work will directly fuel our growth and is core to Samsara’s strategy to capture new markets and deepen our impact across the global economy.

This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product marketing professionals, fostering an environment of accountability, collaboration, and innovation
  • Drive the successful launch of new products by leading go-to-market motions that differentiate our products and brand
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales to develop and deliver on our product marketing vision, pipeline objectives, and product roadmap
  • Collaborate with sales teams to drive enablement tools, training, and materials that empower them to communicate the value of our products to our customers
  • Gather customer insights and feedback, understand their voice, and integrate it into our messaging and strategy
  • Share Samsara’s impact by speaking at internal and external events
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
  • Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Marketing with a focus on B2B SaaS
  • 5+ years of experience building, managing, and developing a high-performing team
  • Commercial orientation - excited about being in front of customers, providing critical support and tools to close individual deals, and partnering with marketing to design an effective pipeline generation strategy
  • Ability to identify new buyers or use cases, analyze market opportunities, and enable sales teams to effectively address them
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities - you're comfortable working cross-functionally and translating technical product features into customer-centric messaging
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively across functions with executive stakeholders, including C-suite leaders
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and deliver clear, actionable insights
  • Highly adaptable and energized by the challenge of building clarity out of ambiguity for yourself and others
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
