Overview:

SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Director, Quality Assurance. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the quality of work we deliver to the market, communicate the appropriate quality metrics to stakeholders at various levels, and drive best practices for quality in collaboration with colleagues across the organization while simultaneously leading and managing a team of onshore and offshore professionals. Your responsibilities will extend to collaborating with various internal stakeholders to enhance quality, improve existing processes and procedures, and establish standards, definitions, and metrics for quality and quality reporting.

To excel in this role, we seek a candidate with a robust background in insurance and product quality, couple with proven skills in building high-performance test organizations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on manager experienced in defining processes and solutions for releasing high-quality products in a fast-paced environment, processing efficient in various automation tools and frameworks, and a track record of success.

What you’d be doing:

  • Develop and lead the quality assurance team strategy.
  • Establish best practices and design patterns around automated and technical testing.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, platform operations, and others to continuously enhance processes.
  • Define standards, definitions, and metrics for quality, driving a process to meet and report on KPIs.
  • Create, track, and communicate test plans across product teams.
  • Design and analyze test cases to identify areas of focus.
  • Manage staff recruitment, performance assessments, training, and career development.
  • Oversee vendors and external relationships for scaling quality assurance resources as needed.
  • Lead new special projects throughout the organization with a focus on high-quality
  • Ad-hoc initiatives and duties as they arise.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Insurance, Computer Science, or related discipline or equivalent relevant on-the-job training.
  • 10+ years of Property & Casualty property insurance – Personal Insurance & Designations preferred.
  • Significant experience with Personal Lines Forms, Rates, and UW Rules.
  • Understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience with insurance policy administration and sales and service systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex issues and solutions appropriately for different audiences. \
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a demonstrated sense of urgency.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage large volumes of work throughout an organization.

  • Experience working with Smartsheet, Confluence, and Jira
  • Prior Commercial Lines Experience.
