We are looking for a Drupal Developer to join our team to support our customer. This position will be involved with full life cycle software development/DevOps for a federal agency. This is a large-scale IT software development effort implementing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

The primary objective of this project is to facilitate small-scale application migration to a Drupal cloud instance. Additionally, the initiative seeks to identify opportunities for the development of compact applications utilizing Drupal, with a focus on achieving rapid deployment within short turnaround times.

As a member of the team the Drupal Developer will be designing new and enhanced Drupal-based websites for the company and its customers, activities would include but not be limited to:

  • Developers will be using Drupal and PHP on LAMP stack to create sites and move data from other applications which will be in React/Angular/Vue.js, .Net, Drupal, PHP, WordPress but not limited to the above.
  • Integrate with existing systems via APIs and REST endpoints and other data feeds.
  • Work on analyzing existing applications for data and attributes and provide insightful guidance on the level of effort required for successful migration and implementing the same features in Drupal.
  • Will be utilizing the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) in maintaining the branding as per agency style guide.
  • Validate apps meet deliverable and functional requirements including cross-browser capability, usability, and 508 compliant per agency requirements for accessibility.
  • Collaborate with systems analysts and project managers to evaluate application migration paths.
  • Will be packaging and deploying the changes from development to staging and production environments and collaborate with operations teams.
  • Performing code reviews, enforcing coding standards defined by the organization and teams as well as document and develop clean code.
  • Collaborate effectively with business analysts to streamline the migration of data from diverse small applications developed across various technology stacks or static web pages.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in computer science or related field.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of hands-on experience in developing substantial applications utilizing Drupal.
  • Proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript, MYSQL,GIT/SVN, REST endpoints and JSON.
  • Active participation in all UI / UX decisions
  • Experience with PHP development
  • Ability to create custom Drupal modules
  • Hands-on experience with Drupal 8/9
  • Experience building responsive websites using Drupal
  • Experience with migrating sites and site content from static sites or other CMS to Drupal.
  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Ability to work independently and recommend the team in best ways to move data to Drupal and provide level of effort.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a US Public Trust background check for badging and to access client systems.
  • Experience in using style guides based on USWDS in Drupal CMS.
  • Experience in 508 compliance and standards and knowledge of making Drupal site fully compliant with 508 guidelines.

  • The salary for this position is $60,000 - $90,000 annually
