    Role Summary

    We are seeking an experienced E-commerce Business Analyst to analyze business performance, identify growth opportunities, and support strategic decision-making across our e-commerce initiatives. You will work closely with product, marketing, operations, and technology teams to optimize online sales, customer engagement, and operational efficiency. Just as important as the numbers is your ability to sit with US-based clients and stakeholders, understand what they are really trying to solve, and translate that into clear requirements and recommendations the delivery team can act on.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyze e-commerce performance metrics, customer behavior, and sales trends to generate actionable insights.

    • Gather, document, and manage business requirements from internal and client stakeholders.

    • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking mechanisms.

    • Monitor key metrics — conversion rate, average order value, customer retention, and revenue growth.

    • Collaborate with product and development teams to define business requirements and user stories.

    • Conduct competitor analysis, market research, and customer journey analysis.

    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and e-commerce optimization.

    • Support A/B testing initiatives and measure outcomes.

    • Present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and leadership. Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, IT, or a related field.

    • 3–4 years as a Business Analyst, preferably in an e-commerce environment.

    • Strong understanding of e-commerce business models and customer journeys.

    • Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel.

    • Experience with Google Analytics (GA4) or similar web analytics tools.

    • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Skills

    • Experience with platforms such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce.

    • Understanding of digital marketing metrics, SEO, and online customer acquisition.

    • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

    • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools. Leadership & Ownership

    • At 3–4 years, we expect you to operate with growing independence: owning a workstream, guiding stakeholders toward decisions, and taking responsibility for the quality of your analysis end to end. You should be comfortable challenging assumptions with data and steering conversations toward outcomes.

    Communication & Client-Facing Expectations

    • This role works directly with US-based clients and stakeholders. Strong communication is a core requirement, not a nice-to-have:

    • Fluent, clear written and spoken English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    • Confident, articulate verbal communication suited to live client conversations, demos, and calls — neutral, easy-to-follow delivery that holds up across US time-zone meetings.

    • Active listening: ability to draw out what a client actually needs (often unstated), ask the right clarifying questions, and translate ambiguity into a clear plan.
