In this role, you will play a key role in the People team and become a critical partner to the People Partner, Legal and Regulatory teams. This multifaceted role will involve working cross functionally and across locations and timezones solving problems and proactively embedding into the People team as a subject matter expert. Critically you will play a key role as a bridge between employees and management to ensure that all voices are heard and valued and that all processes are executed fairly & compliantly. What you bring

  • Experience in a People team, with significant experience in an Employee Relations Partner capacity, supporting a global organization.
  • Experience managing employee relations across multiple countries is a plus
  • Tech start-up and hyper growth experience is nice to have but not required
  • Commitment to encouraging all of Remote's values within the team and the greater organisation
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication - ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees at all levels within the organisation
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as an Employee Relations Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate independently and maintain an unbiased approach, ensuring fairness and equity in the workplace
  • Support in creating and implementing procedures or contributing to internal projects to ensure that the organization is compliant within global jurisdictions, while also fostering a positive and fair work environment
  • Support the HR Team on employee relations, including employee cases, employee advocacy, addressing and resolving conflicts, grievances and complaints within the workplace.
  • Run investigations and perform due diligence on complex cases
  • Work collaboratively with Legal and HR Partners, the ER Partner will liaise with relevant teams and support positive employee relations
  • Act as a guide, coach and advisor to the People team on employee matters, including individual cases and company wide employee benefits/information
  • Play a key role in maintaining a positive, healthy and compliant workplace
  • Analyse employee data and ensure we are compliant in what and how we support our employees compliantly eg, right to disconnect, time tracking where legally required etc
  • Develop and oversee relevant employee training for leaders and People Partners
  • Partner with regulatory and compliance to ensure we are maintaining all regulatory requirements in a compliant manner

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $38,000USD to $86,000USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
