Job Description

The role:

Our brand team is growing and we are looking for a talented Experiential Marketing Lead to help take Apothékary to the next level. The Experiential Marketing Lead is responsible for facilitating and executing experiential marketing activations including brand-owned wellness retreats, and short and long-term pop-up events in order to drive brand awareness and create memorable community experiences. The candidate will work closely with the Founder, marketing, and creative teams to bring the projects to life. You will play a key role in driving the next phase of growth and expansion at Apothékary.

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead Apothékary’s experiential marketing strategy from ideation to execution working cross functionally with our Founder, marketing, operations, PR, and creative teams
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to execute activations supporting brand campaigns to drive brand awareness, engagement, traffic, and revenue
  • Scope out, open, manage, and support marketing around a 3 month pop up opportunity in NYC (Spring/Summer 2024)
  • Responsible for coordinating and planning first Japan ‘journey’ / retreat in Nov 2024
  • Research, manage, and develop relationships with vendors, creative agencies, and brand partners
  • Brainstorm, strategize, and propose event concepts and plans
  • Support with venue and supplier sourcing, and own external vendor communication including booking, coordination, and post-event follow up
  • Create and update internal documents including work back schedules to ensure cross-functional alignment
  • Support onsite event execution, coordination, and external vendor supervision
  • Work with marketing team by driving registrations, pre and post event communications (email, social, event sites) to attendees to accelerate sales
  • Manage and own project budgets and vendor payments
  • Manage operational elements of retreats and events including product skus, invitations, signage, RSVPs, etc
  • Respond to guest inquiries and special requests and resolve issues and concerns in a timely and efficient manner
  • Develop pitch decks and post mortems to help inform long term marketing strategy
  • Have a pulse on marketing campaigns, trends and industry news
  • Lead, facilitate, and participate in meetings as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience building and scaling in-house events and retreats for brands/businesses

  • Exceptional organizational skills and event planning with impeccable attention to detail and follow through / ups

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to operate both creatively and analytically to communicate ideas and strategies between cross-functional stakeholders

  • Experienced project manager and enthusiastic team player

  • Strong knowledge of the wellness hospitality industry

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in executing ceremonial rituals, showcasing a deep understanding of cultural and spiritual practices

  • Excellent follow-through. Ability to keep the pieces moving and not let anything fall through the cracks

  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail

  • Self starter, who has previous experience at a high-growth, fast-paced startup.

  • Passion for wellness community and herbal medicine
