About the Role
Tecsys Inc. is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional for the position of FinOps Analyst. As a transformative supply chain solutions provider, Tecsys equips its customers to succeed in a rapidly changing omni-channel world. From demand planning to demand fulfillment, Tecsys puts power into the hands of both front-line workers and back office planners, unshackling business leaders so they can see and manage their supply chains like never before.
The FinOps Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the financial operations of Tecsys are efficient and effective. This individual will work closely with the finance team to analyze and optimize the company's financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis and a keen eye for detail.
Your Responsibilities:
- Analyze cloud consumption and cost data from CSP sources and internal tools.
- Execute optimization and efficiency processes across platforms.
- Support annual consumption optimization and budget targets.
- Partner with engineering teams to understand cloud business processes and cost drivers.
- Assist in implementing and governing FinOps services as needed.
- Ensure proper tagging and allocation of cloud resources for accurate cost tracking.
- Monitor cloud consumption to detect and escalate anomalies.
- Report on cloud resource efficiency, develop recommendations, and collaborate on improvements.
- Analyze cloud capacity commitments to optimize spend.
- Monitor and report cloud usage against budget and forecast trends.
- Engage with CSP account teams for financial management and consumption targets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of IT or Finance experience managing IT.
- 1+ years of experience with public cloud.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and public cloud concepts.
- Ability to establish IT cost management strategies and tools.
- Understanding of cloud billing practices.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP certifications (FinOps Practitioner, Cloud Financial Management).
- Strong interpersonal, consultative, and analytical skills.
- Have strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.
