The Finance, Strategy & Analytics team is responsible for providing analysis and recommendations to inform strategic and operational decision-making across the company. We are seeking an Analytics Manager to serve as the primary analytical resource to the Financial Technology leadership team, by diving into data to produce valuable insights that provide context to drive business decisions. This is a high-impact role that will offer substantial senior leadership exposure and the opportunity to drive long-term shareholder value in a hyper-growth environment at scale.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering results, complete ownership of work and excellent business judgment. They should have a demonstrated ability to break down complex problems, deliver recommendations, and have a critical eye for detail.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Be a thought leader to business stakeholders and finance leaders by conducting analyses into drivers of business performance using SQL (Structured Query Language), Python and other BI Tools.
- Define and build financial forecasts, dashboards and metrics that track business performance within the broader FinTech organization
- Assist in any ad-hoc analyses and deep dives into strategic issues to improve the collective understanding of risks and opportunities related to the business
- Use SQL, Python and BI tools to automate reporting and generate insights that will allow business leaders to quickly and accurately see how our business is performing
- Communicate clearly, knowledgeably and transparently with cross-functional stakeholders (including but not limited to Finance, Product, Sales, Marketing, and Fraud/Risk) to build trusted relationships and enhance business outcomes
- Proactively develop and address business questions through investigation/data forensics
- Continuously look at opportunities to optimize processes and models used, to provide more timely and relevant insights across the business
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- 5+ years experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Science roles and/or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in an advanced quantitative field such as mathematics, economics/finance, computer science, or physical science
- Expert in SQL and Python (pandas, numpy, seaborn, etc)
- Experience with data visualization. Can confidently choose the best visualization style for the given context; the insights from your visualizations speak for themselves
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills amongst a range of audiences
- Positive attitude, high attention to detail, collaborative, and comfort in working in a matrix organization
- Proven ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
Special Sauce* (Nice to Haves)
- Background building interactive dashboards in a tool such as Hex, Looker, Tableau, Domo, SiSense, etc
- Strong financial acumen and experience with financial modeling and analysis.
- Experience working with complex Excel models
- Exposure to Data Science/Machine Learning models to inform forecasting
- Experience working with FinTech data (payments, loans, other FinTech products)
