Our client is a specialized engineering firm in the field of preventive fire protection based in Cologne, which has been impressing clients for many years with its technical expertise, challenging projects, and modern work structures. In the role of Fire Protection Project Manager (all genders), you will be responsible for planning and coordinating complex fire protection projects—with a focus on quality, schedule management, and technical implementation. The position can be performed 100% remotely.

Your Responsibilities
Independent planning and design of fire suppression systems (e.g., sprinkler and water-based systems) across all HOAI service phases
Conducting site surveys and technical assessments at the client’s location
Preparation of hydraulic calculations, technical drawings (AutoCAD), and planning documents
Development of specifications and support for tendering and contracting processes
Management and coordination of multiple projects in parallel—from commissioning to implementation
Technical coordination with clients (from facility management to executive management), suppliers, and contractors
Supervision of construction work, including quality assurance and site management
Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations (especially VdS)
Collaboration on technical concepts and further development of solutions in a highly specialized niche
Your Profile
Completed technical training or continuing education (e.g., technician, systems planner, building services engineering, HVAC, electrical engineering) or, alternatively, a degree in a relevant field
Several years of experience in the design of fire suppression systems / sprinkler systems (not purely project coordination)
In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, particularly VdS (FM Global / NFPA a plus)
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit is a plus) and, ideally, experience with sprinkler design software (e.g., SpriCAD)
Independent, structured work style and a passion for technically challenging project work
Salary
Approx. 70,000–100,000 euros per year (depending on qualifications) plus company car
