YOUR MISSION

As a Flight Software Engineering Manager at True Anomaly, you will use your knowledge and gain new experience at every phase of the spacecraft program including design, analysis, manufacturing, test, and flight. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership with the software development cycle including design, development, integration, and test for command and data handling, hardware I/O, advanced algorithms, and spacecraft control
  • Plan, coordinate, and track execution of software delivery teams
  • Build and mentor a technical staff of flight/embedded software engineers
  • Create, track, and communicate status of milestones and key performance metrics
  • Support the Director of Flight Software in strategic and tactical planning

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field and 6+ years of experience with real-time, multi-threaded software development
  • 2+ years of experience managing a software development team
  • Proficiency in C++
  • Low-level device driver development and safety critical systems experience
  • Demonstrated experience and discipline with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices
  • Familiarity with embedded Linux
  • Familiarity with common protocols such as UDP, TCP, I2C, RS422, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s degree in in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience with real-time, multi-threaded and/or embedded software development
  • 4+ years of experience managing a software development team in an agile workflow
  • Deep proficiency in C++
  • Proficiency with Python
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and GitHub
  • Experience with a variety of microcontroller and microprocessor architectures
  • Application experience in areas such as robotics, automation, motor control, and sensor fusion

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary: $160,000-$210,000
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to maintain or obtain TS/SCI clearance
  • 75% on-site office work at GravityWorks HQ in Centennial, CO, is preferred but flexible work hours including remote work.
