FP&A analyst/Controller

Remote in Germany or on-site in Düsseldorf.

We are looking for a proactive and commercially experienced FP&A analyst/Controller, who has the passion and technical skills to support Cognigy’s exponential growth. You will have a key role to our commercial and leadership teams by supporting new projects and initiatives to evolve decision support capabilities across the business, driving performance, building plans for the future, as well as supporting regular reporting and forecasting to all major stakeholders.

By joining our finance team, you will contribute to solving the key challenges of getting a deeper understanding of the business through detailed financial metrics and collaboration with a high performing team. Projects to be undertaken include deep analysis of the business performance with a rigourous month end process, support the building of a rolling forecast and modelling capability, stakeholder reporting, in depth analysis of opportunities to improve business performance and supporting optimization of data extracted from our ERP (Netsuite), CRM and BI Data Warehouse.

This role can be performed remotely from your home office in Germany, at our head office in Düsseldorf.

Responsibilities

  • Support the analysis of the business, help to provide insights to management to drive improved performance
  • Support the finance team in providing commercial and analytical decision support for the business including financial modelling, scenario building, project costing, lifetime value analysis, ROI analysis on product development and marketing, Gross Margin and product profitability analysis.
  • Support the rolling forecasting process and help to improve the annual budgeting process by partnering with budget holders across the company
  • Support the forecasting cycle including partnering all teams in the business
  • Be involved in the long term financial planning and modelling for P&L, Cashflow, Balance Sheet and Funding
  • Managing relevant data, processes and models to ensure outputs are delivered efficiently and on time.
  • Be involved in building and developing forecasting and long term Planning models

Requirements

Your Profile

  • A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of commercial FP&A/Controller experience
  • The ability to make sense of complex and high quantity information
  • Strongly collaborative and open style, a real team player.
  • Preferable experience gained within a technology, SAAS or software company. Ideally exposure with both a global business and also a Start up / Scale up business. Someone who knows what good looks like on a global scale and knows how to build it.
