SUMMARYThis position entails working on geotechnical-related projects on the coordination and execution of geotechnical field explorations, laboratory testing, and evaluation of field and laboratory test data, geotechnical analyses, communication with our clients, and preparation of written geotechnical reports. This position will focus on the analysis needed for completing various reports, including:Pavement design and analysisSettlement analysisDesign and analysis of driven pile systemsSlope stability analysis ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare various Geotechnical testing reports for clientsAnalyze and review testing reports for commercial, industrial, retail, government, and residentialProject coordination and project management of Geotechnical workResponsible for managing Geotechnical projects through their lifecycleAssist project professionals with project execution, proposal and report preparationCoordinate required testing/sampling with drill crews and assist with field activities as necessaryInterpret field data and assign laboratory testingCommunicate results of field and laboratory testing, and geotechnical recommendations, to clients REQUIREMENTSMinimum 4 years of relevant professional experienceMust be a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) for the State of TexasBachelors in civil engineering is required; Masters in civil engineering is preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsValid Texas driver license EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree (B.S.) ABET or an accredited four-year college or university in civil engineering. Master’s level degree or exposure to core civil engineering disciplines through coursework (M.S. or Ph.D.) in geotechnical engineering preferred.Familiarity with modern office tools including the use of computer-based programs such as gINT, DARWin, SLOPE/W, VOLFLO, gSTABL, SLIDE, Microsoft Excel, etc.Must have a valid, Texas driver license, and satisfactory driving record LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. WORK LOCATIONFor the right candidate, the primary work for this position can be performed remotely.
