Who You Are
Ontic is looking for a dedicated Group Director of Sales to play a key role in growing and accelerating our revenue growth. As the Group Director of Sales reporting directly to the CRO , you will be responsible for managing a team of seasoned Enterprise Sales Executives to build a pipeline and meet revenue targets through new logo acquisition. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in the SAAS enterprise space, motivating, training and managing teams to meet and exceed quota targets. Candidates should be comfortable with the fact that as a startup, things move quickly and new challenges appear daily.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals
  • Actively performance manage the team and set clear expectations for performance
  • Set individual and team sales targets and ensure they are met
  • Design and implement effective sales strategies to meet revenue targets within the enterprise market segment
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to inform sales strategy development
  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and finance teams to ensure alignment in strategies and objectives
  • Provide feedback from the market to inform product and service development
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within prospect organizations
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and resolve any issues
  • Accurately forecast your business and drive key sales processes across the team
  • Manage daily and weekly activities, pipeline analysis, and forecasting to ensure replicable, above-quota results
  • Ensure the implementation of improvements in business processes yielding increased sales performance, higher operational efficiency, and increased velocity
  • Assist in later-stage activities including commercial and contract negotiations

Preferred Qualifications

  • A proven sales leader and closer
  • 10+ years of outside enterprise software sales experience
  • 5+ years of prior management experience
  • A passion for Ontic’s mission
  • Strong solution selling skills with the ability to demonstrate strong product knowledge
  • Superior professional presence and business acumen
