Are you a Solicitor with expertise in commercial matters? Are you passionate about delivering first-class legal services and able to build great stakeholder relationships?We're recruiting for a Group Solicitor to join us at Alcumus! You'll join the inhouse legal team who provide support across all business areas; SafeContractor, ISOQAR and Planet Mark, as well as central functions. We're a business that is commercially driven, and our goal is to provide a first-class legal service to the business.
What that means day to day
- Providing sound legal advice: you'll demonstrate the ability to provide expert advice on a variety of legal matters, with a special focus on commercial contracts, and will negotiate and draft a wide array of commercial contracts, ensuring robust protections for the business.
- Stakeholder engagement: engage with business units and support functions to build credibility and trust, guiding them through legal implications and compliance issues.
- Compliance management: ensure GDPR compliance and supporting the Director Legal and Compliance in key compliance projects.
- Research and administration: conduct general legal research and handle administrative duties to support the legal team
What you’ll need to be successful
- Qualifications: Minimum 3 years PQE experience.
- Legal Contract Expert: Detail oriented and proficient in drafting contracts that protect our interests while considering the bigger picture.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong ability to challenge management on legal and commercial risk positions, resolving issues with a pragmatic approach.
- Collaborative Mindset: Work well with others in a solution-focused manner, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
