The Mission

Join our dynamic team as a Human Resources (HR) Generalist at Caylent. We are seeking a skilled professional with 3-5 years of HR experience to lead our People team in the Brazil Region. As an HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in administering company-wide benefits and leave policies, overseeing employee disciplinary meetings and investigations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. Additionally, you will support learning and development programs, maintain employee morale, and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Your Assignment

  • Foster team morale and uphold Caylent's culture and values.
  • Respond promptly to daily employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Manage company benefits and leave policies.
  • Supervise employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Provide assistance to legal, management, and other staff in addressing complex, specialized, and sensitive matters.
  • May be required to handle routine tasks in delicate situations, such as providing reasonable accommodations and investigating allegations of wrongdoing.
  • Support learning and development programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and best practices; review policies and practices to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with immigration and visa inquiries.
  • Stay informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Monitor employee morale and company culture, including conducting satisfaction surveys and providing actionable insights to enhance the employee experience.
  • Collaborate with payroll vendors to ensure accurate and timely payment of contractors and employees. Address any payroll-related questions from Brazilian employees.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries (e.g., medical options, meal vouchers, enrollment procedures).
  • Gather feedback and understand employee needs, taking ownership of initiatives such as onboarding and offboarding to enhance efficiency.

Your Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of HR experience.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is highly desired.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Brazilian employment-related laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HRIS and Payroll Systems: HRIS systems, Paychex, Bamboo, Deel, Rippling.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Slack, Notion, GitHub (GH) or similar.
  • Employee Engagement and Management: Engagement platform like Lattice or 15Five
