About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the operationalization of People Relations, HR Governance, or Health & Safety. You will play a critical role in maintaining and promoting a positive work environment, ensuring timely triaging of employee concerns, ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures, and assisting in the implementation of departmental initiatives.
You will report to the Director, Human Resources.

Pay Transparency
The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $86,000 - $100,800 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $77,760 - $86,400 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program, and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Owner of department inboxes; playing a critical role in real time triage, case creation & delegation, and escalation on highly sensitive employee matters.
- Assist in developing and delivering communication to employees who are looking to bring forward allegations or workplace concerns.
- Works directly with leadership to consult and process Corrective Actions and Performance Improvement plans against defined team SLAs
- Provides operational assistance ensuring smooth functioning of HR processes, compliance with policies and regulations, and efficient record-keeping.
- Assist in the implementation, development and maintenance of policies, procedures, manuals and programs.
- Collaborate with department leadership and employees to promote and best practices.
- Assist in documentation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses and contribute to the development of corrective and preventative measures.
- Maintain effective relationships, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation,and increase efficiency. Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices.
- Act in close collaboration with HR stakeholders, employees, and external partners to maintain effective HR Operations and reduce organizational risk.
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 1+ years commensurate experience
- 1+ years of specialist experience conducting HR, corporate governance, Health & Safety or compliance work (or combination of)
- 1+ year strong understanding of employee policy implementation
Bonus Points
- HR certifications (i.e. SPHR, PHR, SHRM, SHRM-SCP)
- Workday experience
- Tech or startup environment experience
- Experience working with Audit, Risk and Legal functions with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and advanced knowledge of Google Suite
- Strong understanding of HR policy, and application thereof

Pay Transparency:
Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
