Your Opportunity:
As a Data Implementation Consultant (IC), your primary responsibility is to help customers migrate from their current Integrated Library System (ILS) or Library Service Platform (LSP) to a new instance of FOLIO, an open source LSP hosted by EBSCO. Customers will extract bibliographic, patron, acquisitions, and other data from their current system, upload it to EBSCO, and you will transform and load the data into FOLIO.
This remote position is based in the UK or continental Europe. EBSCO has local offices in the UK and throughout Europe.
What You’ll Do
- Attend customer meetings managed by the assigned EBSCO Project Management Implementation Consultant (PM IC)
- Explain the migration process, give specific guidance, and answer questions about customers’ data migration
- Analyze, transform, and load customer data into their new FOLIO instance, using EBSCO’s suite of migration tools
- Use your skills and experience, as appropriate, to handle escalated support issues, fix FOLIO data errors, and/or contribute to the migration tools

About You
- 5+ years of experience working as a systems librarian, data scientist, implementation consultant, or a similar role
- Familiarity with library data formats such as MARC and/or BIBFRAME
- Comfortable working with REST APIs and command line tools
- Experience writing and/or debugging scripting languages, like Python or Powershell
What sets you apart
- Advanced degree in Library Science, Information Systems, or similar field
- Experience working in a library or library software company
- Experience managing projects and presenting information to clients
- Able to communicate in multiple European languages
- Able to travel throughout Europe and occasionally to the US
