Implementation Specialist – Remote – United States

DockMaster is looking to hire a highly motivated Implementation Specialist to join our growing team!

About the Role: This person will be responsible for handling new client onboarding and training, creating product documentation and videos, and assisting with quality assurance testing. DockMaster is a financial management platform for marine and marina businesses worldwide. Customers utilize DockMaster to manage their service jobs, inventories, sales, storage agreements, and customer engagement. Our business is celebrating 40 years in the marina management space, and we have a trusted enterprise solution as well as a modern web-based CRM.

The successful candidate will be based anywhere in the US, working in a remote work model!

What your day will look like:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Configuring and customizing DockMaster Software solutions to fit client needs, including data migration and system integration.
  • Conducting in-depth needs assessments to understand each client's unique business processes and requirements.
  • Developing and executing customized implementation plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Providing comprehensive training to clients, ensuring they are proficient in using the software and can leverage its full capabilities.
  • Working closely with the sales, support, and development teams to provide feedback and insights for customer satisfaction initiatives.
  • Managing, creating, and updating classes, tutorials, and implementation documentation.
  • Staying up to date with all aspects of the DockMaster software and assisting with quality assurance testing.
  • Managing multiple implementation projects simultaneously, maintaining clear communication and exceptional service standards.
  • Offering ongoing support to clients post-implementation, addressing any issues and promoting the adoption of new features and updates.
  • Completing online and in-person client training and fact-finding sessions.

About You:

  • DockMaster Software experience is essential. Candidates without marina experience will not be considered.
  • Proven experience in software implementation, training, or customer support, ideally within the marine industry or similar sectors.
  • Technical proficiency with business management software, CRM systems, and database management.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger.
  • 2+ years of experience in project management, implementation, or training capacity.
  • Experience with SQL, data analysis tools, and data formatting.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with regular software updates.
  • Self-starter mentality, with an instinct to figure out what is next and move forward with or without explicit direction.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel for on-site training and implementations up to 1-2 times per month.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US.

Education and Experience:

  • Marine industry, Boatyard administration, or Marina experience; DockMaster or similar marina software is essential.
  • 2+ years of experience in Customer Service or Technical Support.
  • Bachelor’s degree, with a preference for Business or Accounting.
  • Technical proficiency with business management software, CRM systems, and database management.
