In-House Lawyer, India

Salary: INR 15,00,000 - 20,00,000 depending on experience.

Reporting lines: In-house Counsel

Job summary:

This is a brand new, exciting role at Vestd, based in our expanding India team. The successful candidate will be working closely with our UK-based In-House Counsel, to UK working hours.

We are looking for a qualified lawyer (whether private practice or in house) who has had at least three years corporate experience. You will be very familiar with how early stage and scale up companies grow and evolve - whether through investment rounds or organically. Having had some exposure to share schemes would be an advantage.

Requirements

Essential

  • Minimum of three years post-qualification experience in corporate law, focussing on Small and Medium Enterprises.
  • Excellent understanding of shares, articles of association and shareholders agreements.
  • Excellent legal drafting skills.
  • Ability to understand and empathise with customers and prospects.
  • First rate communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
  • A great problem solver that loves to help other people.
  • Self motivated, flexible and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must thrive on continuous learning

Desired/Bonus points

  • UK law degree an advantage.
  • Experience in dealing with private company investments rounds through SAFE’s, ASA’s, CLN’s and share subscription would be an advantage.
  • Experience working with FCA regulated firms an advantage
