We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer (Migration) to support AWS and Azure takeouts and migrate to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Lift-and-Shift migrations and a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support Lift-and-Shift migrations from AWS and Azure to GCP.
- Assess existing infrastructure, design migration strategies, and execute migration plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration processes.
- Implement and manage infrastructure in the GCP environment.
- Monitor and optimize migrated systems for performance, reliability, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to migration and infrastructure.
- Stay up-to-date with temerging technologies and best practices in cloud migrations
Requirements
- Proficiency in English: We require candidates to have a professional level of English proficiency, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with international team members and clients.
- 5+ years of experience with Lift-and-Shift migrations from AWS and Azure to GCP.
- 5+ years of experience in migration tools and practices with strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and services.
- Experience with infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with multiple cloud platforms.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of best practices in cloud security and compliance.
