The Inside Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the inside sales team. This position requires an individual with a strong background in sales, team leadership, and driving sales performance. The Inside Sales Manager will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, supporting the sales process, and fostering relationships with both existing and prospective customers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the inside sales team: Oversee daily inside sales activities, ensuring effective lead management, timely follow-ups, and a disciplined approach to pipeline progression.
- Sales strategy execution: Develop and implement sales strategies that align with company goals, ensuring the inside sales team meets and exceeds monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
- Customer relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, hospitals, clinics, and distributors to ensure product adoption and customer loyalty.
- Market analysis and reporting: Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to provide insights into product positioning and sales strategies.
- Sales process optimization: Streamline sales processes and ensure effective use of CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to track leads, opportunities, and pipeline.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams: Act as the key liaison between inside sales, marketing, and field sales, ensuring seamless handoff of qualified opportunities, maintaining alignment on customer strategy, and optimizing workflows between teams.
- Product knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the medical devices we sell, including their benefits, applications, and technical features, to provide valuable information and support to customers.
- Training and development: Lead structured coaching, mentoring, and skill development programs to ensure continuous improvement and career progression for inside sales reps.
- Reporting and forecasting: Regularly track and analyze individual and team performance metrics (e.g., conversion rates, outreach effectiveness) to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- This position does have supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in inside sales, with at least 2 years in managerial or leadership role within the medical device or healthcare industry (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of medical devices, healthcare systems, and industry regulations (e.g., FDA, HIPAA).
- Proven track record of leading sales teams to success and achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Proficient in using CRM software (Salesforce or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
