Sophos is headquartered in Oxford, U.K. More information is available at www.sophos.com.You will support the Public Sector sales team by managing internal sales activities across a shared account base, helping progress opportunities through the channel, and coordinating with account owners to drive pipeline, customer engagement, and successful deal execution. This role does not carry a dedicated territory and reports to the Public Sector Sales Manager.

    Internal sales support for enterprise team and Help improve customer satisfaction & retention.

    Goals:

    Support team pipeline progression. Improve deal velocity, accuracy and customer responsiveness.

    IMPORTANT:This is a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC) role providing maternity cover.What will you do:

    • Support the Public Sector sales team by helping manage pipeline, qualify opportunities, and maintain accurate CRM records across shared accounts.

    • Coordinate internal sales activities including quote generation, bid administration, order progression, and customer follow-up.

    • Work closely with territory owners and channel partners to progress opportunities and ensure timely responses to customer and partner requests.

    • Help prepare proposals, RFI/RFP responses, renewal paperwork, and other sales documentation for Public Sector opportunities.

    • Partner with Sales Engineers, Customer Success, Deal Desk, and other internal teams to keep opportunities moving efficiently through the sales cycle.

    • Maintain consistent customer and partner communications, ensuring high responsiveness and professional follow-through.

    • Track key actions, deadlines, and dependencies across active opportunities to support forecast accuracy and on-time deal execution.

    • Build knowledge of Public Sector buying processes, framework routes, and customer requirements to support the wider team effectively.
