About the Role
We are seeking an emotionally intuitive Music Composer to create a moving instrumental score for Spark, a heartwarming short film about an unlikely friendship between a rock creature and a fox. The story follows their journey through the ups and downs of friendship, made complex by their vast size difference. For the climax, where Rock saves Fox, we’re looking for a powerful, emotionally charged composition that highlights the bond between them. The musical style should evoke the heartfelt tone of instrumental pieces like “One” by Sleeping At Last. The final music is due by February 1, 2025, with updates required at various milestones leading up to that date.
Requirements
- Proven experience in composing instrumental music that captures emotional depth and character-driven narratives.
- Ability to create powerful, evocative compositions suited to animation or storytelling-focused projects.
- Proficiency with music production software such as Logic Pro, Ableton, or similar.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating on regular project updates and implementing feedback throughout the process.
- Availability to deliver the final score by February 1, 2025, with periodic updates as requested.
