At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.
Hybrid: This is a hybrid position. You’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office, so you should live within commuting distance. Hybrid teams may work in-office as much as a few times a week or as little as once a month or quarter, as decided by leadership. Join our team
GoDaddy is looking for highly motivated individuals to join us as interns in building
and improving the GoDaddy tax department. As an intern with our team, you will
make meaningful contributions to the company’s corporate income tax, tax
provision, and transfer pricing filings and processes.
This is a temporary internship assignment, typically ranging from 3 – 6 months in
duration based on region and season.
What you'll get to do...
·Build outstanding services that help our internal and external customers
succeed.
·Work on a team that focuses on a wide range of tax specialty areas including
accounting for income taxes, accounting methods, federal and state
corporate income taxation, foreign income taxation, and transfer pricing.
·Perform tax-related tasks, including preparing federal, state, and local
corporate income tax returns, completing tax planning and research, and
understanding tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.
·Preparation of schedules and calculations for federal and state income tax
filings.
·Preparation of income tax extensions and estimated tax payment
calculations.
·Preparation of tax fixed assets schedules and depreciation calculations.
·Preparation of corporate tax international tax computations such as GILTI
and BEAT.
·Prepare schedules and compile information for various international tax
returns.
·Participate in the development and maintenance of tax provision workpapers
including data and process automation efforts.
·Assisting with month-end tax close processes (i.e. journal entries, account
reconciliations, etc.)
·Assisting tax department with written documentation of tax policies and
procedures
·Monitor and help coordinate the progress and execution of various tax and
transfer pricing projects.
Your experience should include...
·Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the
following degrees/majors: Bachelors and/or Masters in business, accounting,
finance, taxation, or currently pursuing a JD degree with an undergraduate
degree.
·A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS
Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
Excellent social, written and verbal interpersonal skills. Strong writing skills
with the ability to write clearly and quickly, explaining technical concepts to
a non-technical audience.
·Ability to be a flexible and adaptable team player; and self-motivated to
deliver high quality work.
·Prior work experience in accounting, finance, treasury, or other corporate
finance department is a plus.
·Prior experience with Thomson Reuters OneSource tax compliance and
provision software is a plus.
·Prior work experience with the Workday finance and accounting platform is
a plus.
·Strong sense of curiosity and are always striving to improve your knowledge
base.
