PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT INTERN - LIGHTING

We are looking for a dedicated, design interested intern for Muuto´s product development department, focussed on lighting, on Strøget, Copenhagen.

As an intern you will have a central role, being involved in all phases and aspects of the product development process, simultaneously working on different projects. Your primary responsibilities will be as following:

  • Participating in the overall development process
  • Development of 3D- and 2D construction drawings in SolidWorks

• 3D printing and prototyping

  • Inspection and quality control of product samples and prototypes
  • Develop quality guidelines and product definition

• Development of assembly instruction

• Data collection and research

• Various ad-hoc assignments

Your profile:

You are able to work both in a team and independantly, have lots of initiative and engagement, who studies engineering or similar and is simultenously able to keep several projects afloat.

You have an interest in product development and lamps and a fundemental understanding for lighting, simple electronics and materials.

It is a requirement that you are familiar with 3D modelling in SolidWorks and have a structured approach to working with communication, product documentation and research. Furthermore you should have some experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign

We offer an exciting internship within an international company, deeply rooted in Scandinavian design. Muuto is a workplace with highly passionate colleagues, a great work environment an informal worklife.

You will both become familiar with the design industry as well as achieve practical experience with all the deveopment phases our products go through. You will also learn about the development process when it comes to product construction, materials, international standards and regulations. On your team there are multiple professionals, engineers and product developers available for support and sparring – however, we will expect and encourage you to solve your challenges and tasks using your own initiative and ideas.

We are looking for an intern, studying in Denmark, that can start end January/start February 2025.

The internship is expected to last 4-6 months and is an optortunity to supplement your education with relevant experiences within your field of study and give insights to the design industry.
