The Investment Banking Analyst will support end-to-end execution of client transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital-raising initiatives. This role involves preparing pitchbooks, conducting industry research, and coordinating with internal teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-driven, and passionate about finance and investment banking.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Execution Support — Work on M&A transactions, precedent deals, private placements, and fundraising initiatives by preparing financial analyses, transaction summaries, and supporting documentation such as trading comparable multiples.
Sell-Side Pitch Creation — Develop sell-side pitch materials to support client mandates, highlighting strategic opportunities and value propositions to potential investors and buyers.
Pitchbook and Presentation Preparation — Prepare slides and assist senior team members in preparing high-quality presentation materials for client meetings, ensuring alignment with client objectives and strategic dialogue.
Industry and Market Research — Conduct in-depth industry, market, and product research to monitor current events, valuation trends, key financial metrics, and competitive landscapes, providing actionable insights to clients and senior bankers.
Transaction Execution — Gather financial data, perform detailed analyses, and support the seamless execution of transactions such as M&A deals, IPOs, private equity settlements, and other advisory services.
Business Development Support — Assist senior bankers in business development activities by preparing background materials and identifying potential opportunities for client engagement and pipeline growth.
Project and Team Support — Assist in project coordination by facilitating communication between clients, advisory teams, and internal stakeholders. Support senior bankers in managing timelines, deliverables, and ensuring high-quality outputs under tight deadlines. Qualifications
Education:
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting or corporate development.
Previous exposure to M&A transactions or relevant internship experience is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Strong financial modeling skills in Excel.
Proficiency in PowerPoint for creating client-facing materials.
Familiarity with financial databases and research tools (e.g., Capital IQ, PitchBook) is a plus.
