Junior Cloud Engineer

This position will entail fully remote work, collaborating with international clients on a contract staffing basis (month-to-month), for 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday. Timezone flexibility may be required to accommodate different countries.

Position Summary:As a Junior Cloud Engineer, you will work closely with our experienced cloud engineering team to design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure and services. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, while supporting our mission to deliver scalable and reliable solutions to our clients. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and services to support business applications and workloads.
• Deploy and configure virtual machines, containers, and serverless functions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Monitor cloud resources and performance metrics to ensure optimal performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Implement and maintain security measures and best practices to protect cloud environments and data.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management tasks using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and techniques.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for cloud deployment and performance.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving cloud-related issues and escalations.
• Document processes, procedures, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and principles.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take direction from senior engineers.
