Your main responsibilities:

  • You will work on transitioning the database services from traditional infrastructure to those managed in the public cloud and/or those based on Kubernetes,
  • This is a process that won't happen right away, so you will also have to take care of the existing database infrastructure so that it runs smoothly and is always available,
  • At the same time, you will create and maintain tools to improve, optimize and automate tasks in our infrastructure.

We are looking for people who:

  • are eager and willing to learn: NoSQL databases, such as: Couchbase, MongoDB, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, ScyllaDB
  • have basic knowledge of Python
  • use Linux with ease

Nice if you have:

  • knowledge of data modeling design topics oriented towards optimal data storage and high performance
  • practical expertise in finding causes of performance problems, performing load tests, tuning queries and selecting optimal indexes;
  • knowledge in Kubernetes and public clouds environment;
  • understanding of issues with performing backups and disaster recovery;
  • experience with NewSQL databases like CockroachDB, Yugabyte, RavenDB is welcome;
