Job Description
Your main responsibilities:
- You will work on transitioning the database services from traditional infrastructure to those managed in the public cloud and/or those based on Kubernetes,
- This is a process that won't happen right away, so you will also have to take care of the existing database infrastructure so that it runs smoothly and is always available,
- At the same time, you will create and maintain tools to improve, optimize and automate tasks in our infrastructure.
We are looking for people who:
- are eager and willing to learn: NoSQL databases, such as: Couchbase, MongoDB, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, ScyllaDB
- have basic knowledge of Python
- use Linux with ease
Nice if you have:
- knowledge of data modeling design topics oriented towards optimal data storage and high performance
- practical expertise in finding causes of performance problems, performing load tests, tuning queries and selecting optimal indexes;
- knowledge in Kubernetes and public clouds environment;
- understanding of issues with performing backups and disaster recovery;
- experience with NewSQL databases like CockroachDB, Yugabyte, RavenDB is welcome;
