Purpose of the position
Responsible for developing and managing long-term relationships for customer accounts to achieve designated sales and order intake target levels. Responsible for sales and order intake increase, supporting our channel partners and end user customers in the assigned area.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Responsible for the direct sales and order intake process and increase, aiming at meeting and / or exceeding top line growth and profitability within own area.
- Develop and maintain profitable business with designated accounts; responsibility for the budgeting and profitability.
- Liaise with key internal stakeholders and centers of competence in all required business segments at the earliest stage to respond to clients' integrated business needs.
- Expand sales, introduce new products / services to clients and organize visits to current and potential clients.
- Submit short and long-range sales plans and prepare sales strategies utilizing available marketing programs to reach nominated targets. Ensure that pricing and agreements are up-to-date and communicated to needed persons.
- Retain and intensify long-term customer relationships by providing comprehensive integrated proposals for established accounts.
- Formulate a sales and marketing strategy for the assigned area, developing guidelines and policies in line with the business strategy.
- Responsible for sales expansion, ensuring new product introductions, new market insights and active relationship management towards existing and new customers.
- Manage individual travel and entertainment expenses and within compliance with company policies
- Negotiate terms of sales and deal with significant national / regional accounts.
- Attendance of regional tradeshows as needed
- Travel required, est. 70% (50-60% within the territory, 10-20% nationally)
- Other duties as assigned

- Support Waltco Dealer Network in the territory

What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- College Degree in Business, Engineering or Marketing preferred
Working experience:
- 3 years sales experience with Bachelor's degree or +5 years without
- Transportation industry or heavy equipment experience in Sales/Marketing/Business preferred
