We are seeking a skilled Kubernetes Administrator and Application Developer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building cloud-native Kubernetes applications and administration of Kubernetes clusters, particularly with RH OpenShift, in bare-metal environments.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with application development teams to deploy, scale, and manage cloud-native applications
Administer and maintain Kubernetes clusters on bare metal and OpenShift platforms.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cluster performance and reliability.
Automate operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Helm).
Ensure security best practices and compliance standards within the clusters. Requirements
Qualifications
Requires minimum 5 years job related work experience in excess of degree requirements
Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science or related field (Required)
Or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required Skills
Proven experience developing and deploying cloud-native Kubernetes applications.
Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation.
Linux administration skills (preferred)
Hands-on experience administering Kubernetes clusters (bare metal and/or public cloud environments).
Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (preferred).
Solid understanding of networking, storage, and security within Kubernetes. Benefits
The base pay range for this role is $65 - $74 per hour.
